Compared with other types of 3D scanner with probing capability (e.g. arm/scanner, laser tracker/scanner or optical tracker/scanner), the MetraSCAN 3D solution provides total freedom of movement for significantly increased product and measurement quality, and is the most accurate combined scanning and probing solution on the market today.
Designed for use in design and production, the MetraSCAN 750™ can complete quality inspections, prototyping and reverse engineering tasks on all sizes and types of product, from a large complex assembly on the shopfloor to a sample component in the laboratory.
Its dynamic referencing yields reliable, repeatable, high quality scans, while its freedom of movement provided by the measuring head can be extended with additional reference points. This enables parts to be rotated without losing positioning and orientation data, making scans faster, cleaner and more effective, particularly when combined with the touch probe.
The MetraSCAN 750™ delivers exceptional scanning resolution and repeatability. It uses 7 laser crosses, and an optional high-resolution single scan line, enabling fast construction of detailed models for export as mesh models to 3D design applications for design or 3D printing for prototyping.
